Terms and conditions
Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel reserve the right to refuse boarding to any dog who does not have an up to date vaccination card and kennel cough vaccination. No refund will be given in these circumstances.
Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel reserve the right to refuse boarding to any dog that shows sign of distress or aggression.
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times when on our premises. We accept no responsibility for loss or injury in our carpark or on the premises.
Bookings- A completed and signed booking form needs to be submitted to Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel. Once this has been reviewed, full payment needs to be sent to Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel. Your booking is not confirmed until full payment has been made. Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel reserves the right to reject any booking before full payment has been made.
Charges- fees are payable from the day of arrival for the agreed duration of stay even if your dog is collected early.
No charge for day of departure if your dog is collected between 10 & 11am.
Any extra days will be charged at the prevailing daily rate
Charges may be incurred if Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel need to purchase additional food for your dog(s) if the owner has not provided the correct amount to cover the duration of the dog(s) stay.
An administration fee of £40 will apply for any change of dates / cancellation made after a booking has been accepted.
Payment – Payment must be made in full at the time of booking and a completed and signed booking form submitted to Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel.
Any associated veterinary bills must be paid in full at the point of collection of the dog(s).
Any costs of additional food must be paid in full at the point of collection of the dog(s).
Any costs of flea/worming treatment must be paid in full at the point of collection of the dog(s).
Cancellations/Amendments – All cancellations or amendments must be made in writing, we cannot accept cancellations or amendments over the phone.
A minimum of 28 days notice must be given to cancel a booking and a full refund will be given (minus the £40 administration charge).
No refund will be given if less than 28 days notice has been given.
Changes to the arrival/departure date will be subject to a £40 administration charge. Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel will endeavour to accommodate these changes but they are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
In the unlikely event that Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel need to cancel a booking, a full refund will be made.
Food- Please supply enough food to last for the duration of your dog(s) stay plus and additional 2 days in case of an emergency.
Please ensure your dog(s) name is clearly displayed on the packaging of the food and any measuring equipment is supplied.
If your dog(s) are fed a raw diet, please ensure each meal is portioned individually clearly displaying your dogs name. Please transport the raw food in an insulated bag to minimize the risk of defrosting.
Please bring any treats in a suitable container with your dogs name clearly displayed.
Insurance- All dogs are insured for the duration of their stay plus 48hrs after departure. Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel recommend owners provide their own insurance for the duration of their dogs stay, we will require proof of insurance on arrival. All outstanding Vet bills must be paid in full at the point of collection regardless of the owners proposed or on-going insurance claim.
Vaccinations- All dogs must be fully vaccinated and an up to date vaccination certificate be supplied at the point of arrival, this includes for Kennel Cough.
Kennel Cough is airborne and can be contracted anywhere, Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel cannot be held responsible for any dogs that contract Kennel Cough whilst in our care.
A copy of the vaccination certificate will be kept on file. It is the owners responsibility to ensure the vaccinations, including Kennel Cough are up to date.
Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel reserve the right to refuse boarding to any dog that does not hold an up to date vaccination certificate, payment made for the booking will not be refundable.
Veterinary Treatment– All Veterinary Bills must be paid at the point of collection regardless of the owners on going or proposed insurance claim.
Any veterinary treatment required during your dogs stay is at the expense of the owner.
A medical consent form must be completed for each dog at the point of arrival.
Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel will endeavour to use your dogs vet but in the event that this is not possible, your dog(s) will be treated by Highlands Dog Boarding Hotels vet. Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel will contact you or the emergency contact if veterinary treatment is required.
It is the responsibility of the owner to inform Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel of any medical conditions your dog(s) may have and supply any medication in the original packaging with clear administration instructions.
All dogs must be up to date with Flea and worming treatment. In the event that fleas are found on your dog(s), Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel will administer an appropriate flea treatment and the charge will be payable on the point of collection.
If your dog(s) are due a flea or worm treatment whilst staying with us, please provide the medication in the original packaging clearly stating your dogs name, dosing details and the date to be given.
Additional information- Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel supplies all beds and bedding, water and feed bowls and enrichment toys. You are welcome to bring your dogs own bedding and toys but they are left at their owners risk. Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel cannot be held responsible for any damaged toys or bedding.
Please ensure your dog wears a flat collar with an up to date identification tag.
Failure to collect your dog(s) will result in Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel to take the appropriate action if contact has not been made with the owner or emergency contact within 7 days of the collection date.
Highlands Dog Boarding Hotel cannot accept responsibility for any stress, illness or upset digestion during your dog(s)s stay. Everything possible is carried out to prevent this and veterinary action will be taken if required.
